Carl joined the Crabtowne Big Band in
August, 2004. In addition to the Crabtowne
Big Band, Carl is currently a member of the
the Annapolis Wind
Symphony, Chesapeake Greys Big Band, and the Londontowne Symphony Orchestra and
Brass Quintet. After attending Ohio State
University, Carl received both his bachelor and master degrees in music
education from the University of Maryland.
Carl was a member
of the Naval Academy Band from 1962 - 1966, and a
frequent substitute trombonist in the Kai Winding
Septet and the Woody Herman Band. Carl was a public
school band/orchestra director for 30 years. Carl
also performs as a
freelance trombonist throughout the Annapolis, Baltimore and
Washington, DC area.
