Doug plays both the 1st and 2nd Tenor Saxophone parts. He is the band's Business
Manager and has been a member of the Crabtowne Big Band since 1984. Doug has
over 20 years of musical experience in big bands and combos.
His greatest
musical influence was provided by jazz pianist Don Scaletta, with whom he performed
during his college days. He studied under former Lionel Hampton
saxophonist Barry Titone. Doug is a Deputy Health Officer, Operations for
the Anne Arundel County Department of Health.
