Business Manager - crabtownebigband@verizon.netDoug plays both the 1st and 2nd Tenor Saxophone parts. He is the band's Business Manager and has been a member of the Crabtowne Big Band since 1984. Doug has over 25 years of musical experience in big bands and combos.
His greatest musical influence was provided by jazz pianist Don Scaletta, with whom he performed during his college days. He studied under former Lionel Hampton saxophonist Barry Titone. Doug also performs with Big Band Caliente, a latin based big band located within the Annapolis/Baltimore/Washington region.
Doug recently retired from the Arundel County Department of Health where he worked for 30 years, the final 15 as its Deputy Director and Acting Health Director.
